Celebrating 140 years of entertainment! A lively band with a long history The Friendly Band is a brass band based in Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax. The band has a long history, dating back to 1868, and continues to take a play a very active role in the brass band world, taking part in many contests, a wide range of other public engagements and a variety of private functions such as weddings and birthday parties. We rehearse every Tuesday and Friday (8pm to 10pm) at our band room:
Click here for a map. Public concerts and private functions The band has no sponsorship and depends entirely on the income it raises by performing. We have a full programme of concerts across West Yorkshire in the coming year. Why not come along and listen to us?
