A lively band with a long history

The Friendly Band is a brass band based in Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax.  The band has a long history, dating back to 1868, and continues to take a play a very active role in the brass band world, taking part in many contests, a wide range of other public engagements and a variety of private functions such as weddings and birthday parties.

We rehearse every Tuesday and Friday (8pm to 10pm) at our band room:

Public concerts and private functions

The band has no sponsorship and depends entirely on the income it raises by performing.  We have a full programme of concerts across West Yorkshire in the coming year.  Why not come along and listen to us?

Alternatively, we are also available to perform at private functions, such as weddings, birthday parties, etc.  If you would like to find out more, please contact our Secretary Paul Fielden on (01422) 883587, or come along to the band room on a practice night.
